Customs Preventive Service Cooperative Housing Society Ltd., Karachi was registered under Section of the Cooperative Societies Act 2020 Vide Registration No. SKH-345 dated 22-02-1979.
The society was registered with main object as laid down Byelaw No. 2 to provide residential facilities to its members as per the provision of Registered Byelaws of the society. The object of the society shall be to carry on the trade of building and of acquiring, buying, selling, hiring, letting and developing land in accordance with Cooperative Principles and to establish and carry on social re-creative and educational work in connection with its tenants and the Society shall have full power to do all things it deems necessary or expedients for the accomplishment of all objects specified in its Bye-Laws including the powers to purchase, hold, sell, exchange, mortgage, rent, lease, sub lease, surrender, accept surrenders of and deal with lands of any tenure and to sell by installments and subject to any terms or conditions and to make and guarantee advances to Members for building or purchasing property and to erect, pull down, repair, alter or otherwise deal with any building there on.
The Membership Register maintained by the Society according which the total Membership of the Society consists of 338 members on the roll.
The audit of accounts of the society are being conducted every year regularly as well as Election and General Body Meetings of the society are being held regularly.
The society has acquired a piece of land measuring 20 acres in Sector 52-A, KDA Scheme No. 33, Karachi.
The layout plan was approved by the KDA/MPGO City District Government vide letter No. URP-33/Sector-52-A/MP&EC/79/UDI-303/L dated 19-06-2009. According to the plan, the positions of the Plots are as under: –
